Our staff writer Maggie, who is currently stuck in Tennessee, went to a rave this weekend called Flavorless.
Flavorless is a monthly party series in Chattanooga that has been held since 2017 and is a mainstay in the dance scene here.
The headliners was RUTAM (@rutam.music), a Knoxville based DJ duo, Ruta & Tam. With roots from the West Coast & Europe, their sets channel an edgy, feminine force and they bring a shared love of music to energetic genre-blurring mixes of EBM, Industrial, techno, acid and hard trance.
They brought a very European techno sound to Tennessee, and Rutam has been a collaborator of Hellmouth Mag which is an Appalachian music and art mag.
